Network card weird problem....

i have inter pro wireless 2100 in my laptop.

the ipw2100 card sometimes is recongnized as eth1, but sometimes eth2.....

when the no of eth* match the no of the /etc/networks/interfaces file...it works..

if the no dont match the no in that file, it doesnt work.......

the question is, How can i lock i device to eth1?
