Are you saying the contents of the file change or the association between a card and its designation (like
eth0 changes? If it is the latter, this can be controlled by the files in
/etc/udev/rules.d. I don't have any experience with this, but you can proably find out what you need to know by doing an Internet search on the terms
udev and
rules.
