Linux printing to linux computer


Ok, i want to get an old laptop or something and hook up a printer to it to make it a print server. How hard is it to be able to connect to this from my other linux computers?? am i gonna have to mess with samba and/or cups?? i tried to do it to connect to a windows printer and i kinda gave up. Please help me!!!!!

You could use a variety of methods like the ones you mentioned above. Are you having any particular problems with them?
