I'm using a p2p program that I want to limit the upload bandwidth on permanently, and the download temporarily (just for that application). I basically want to be able to surf and use my p2p at the same time, without seeing significant wait on the browser. Even if I can somehow "nice" the bandwidth, that'd be fine.
Any suggestions on how to achieve this would be great
If you need some more info, please, let me know.
Here is my network setup:
linuxbox (Static Private IP) === Router (Dynamic WAN IP) ===== DSL Modem ===== Outside World (The scary unknown
)...
Thanks for any suggestions (I've installed Squid, but have no idea if that's a viable option, nor how to set it up to work
)
Cool
