i tried to connect directly with an ip number and it worked.
how to solve this dns issue.
I also tried to connect to the internet via Internet connection wizard. Everything was ok, my internet provider is listed ther (in kppp also). But i couldn't connect to internet at all, because (probably) modem was waiting for a dialtone and I do not know how to turn this wait for dialtone off. There is no menu option there. If I could turn if off then maybe through an internet conection wizard dns problem would be solved automaticaly.
How to make my modem not to wait for dialtone, through internet connection wizard. Maybe I didn't found some menu option, or should I write something in some linux configuration file.
1)
the easy way depends on you linux implementation.
Look in your network setting for the modem, if you are lucky there will be an options to disable waiting for dailtone.
2)
In the /etc/ppp map you can find the scripts and I don't know which one you use so you have to chose
This is example of one
#!/bin/sh
#
exec /usr/sbin/chat -v \
TIMEOUT 3 \
ABORT "NO CARRIER" \
ABORT BUSY \
ABORT "NO DAILTONE" \
ABORT WAITING \
"" ATZ \
OK ATDT850000 \
TIMEOUT 45 \
CONNECT " "
