Why cant I connect my mozilla through Internet

Hello,

I have installed RHL 9.0(srv) & I am not able to browse the internet through Mozilla.
I have given/checked the proxy settings, it is perfect. The IP is coming from windows DHCP server. The windows server also has ISA.

This is the problem. I cant get through the ISA server. Is there any settings related to ISA in RHL 9.0.

Please let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks

Prerak

u must configure your mozilla to use ISA proxy server. ISA works on 8080 port by the default.
edit-preferences-advanced-proxies:
http proxy --> give here the ip of ISA server dont use netbios name of ISA server
port:8080

same for ftp ssl

Why cant I connect my mozilla through Internet

Hi,

Ya, i tried that. But the problem is ISA requires Authentication, which ISA is not getting & ultimately gives error of HTTP i. e

"Error HTTP 407 : ISA server authentication required."

This what the error says after setting all the necessary steps of proxy, HTTP, etc....

Is there any other way, bcoz i am stuck in between.

Thanks for help & waiting for new suggestion

i had ISA b4 i changed to squid. i hate ISA. it craches always and doesnt support some ports (tcp 8443). i had configured ISA to allow linux (ip address) without auth. mozilla worked here.

try this client http://freshmeat.net/projects/kipt/ i didnt try it b4. i hope it helps u.
if it works let me know please. also u can search some client software for ISA from http://sourceforge.net/
