How to set up Internet Connection Sharing over USB..?

I am using Fedora, but also have Debian available.

Is there any way to set up Internet Connection Sharing using USB..?

For example, with an Android phone, you can share its connection with a computer using so-called "tethering".

But I want to "tether" my laptop's internet connection to another computer, using USB.

How do I do this..?

It might be easier if possible to connect the computers using an ethernet cable.

Most computers only have host USB ports so you can not directly connect them together. There is a USB data cable whereby you can create a virtual network but it has been awhile and do not know which ones are supported anymore. Here is one.
