FC4-a problem in resolving hostname

My FC4 machine has the ip address: 192.168.10.86 and the hostname: h5n1.
It's ok when i ping the FC4 from another PC by using the ip address. But when i ping the hostname, i've got a message: unknown host h5n1.
There's no firewall on all machines.
What is the problem and How can i fix it ?

Great! Thanks.
The problem goes from the SMB service.
