Angry DHCP Client settings

I have an interface eth0. On network restart it produces a file named dhclient-eth0.conf. Things go well until here.

I then run the /sbin/dhclient -F "abc-def.xyz.com"
This command however fails to register my hostname to the dns.

If i use the command as /sbin/dhclient -F "abc-def.xyz.com" -cf "/etc/dhclient-eth0.conf" I am able to successfully register.

Is there a way to run the above dhclient script without specifying the -cf option but using the dhclient-eth0.conf file?

I am using a CentOS distribution.

Thanks,
Shivkumar

On the man page it says to use cf, never seen F..

Quote:
To specify different names
and/or locations for these files, use the -cf, -lf, -pf and -sf

Well -F is used to send the FQDN name to the dns. That works.
But I thought if you pass the interface argument eth0 dhclient-script automatically identifies that it has to call dhclien-eth0.conf.

So I modified my code to use the -cf option. But this has a side effect. It is generating two lease files and the inteface are 2 ip address associated with it. I want it to bind only to one IP.
