Able to use Samba SWAT on XP machine Browser?

Hi,

I just recently installed Samba, version that comes with RH 7.2 & wanted to know if there is a way that I can access the SWAT interface from a Windows XP machine on my LAN?
If so, what file in on the Linux Box needs to be changed, etc...?

The SWAT interface is setup standard using TCP Port 901 on the Linux box. When I try to access: http://192.168.1.110:901 on my Windows XP machine:
I get an error message that it cannot find it....

Although, I do know that everything is working fine on the Linux box as I can login to the SWAT interface from the Linux machine using Mozilla.

Both the Linux & Windows XP machine are on the same LAN connected via my Netgear RP-114 Router.

The Linux machine has the IP address 192.168.1.110
The Windows XP machine has the IP address 192.168.1.103

Any / all help is greatly appreciated, I am a newbie & know that something is just being overlooked on my part.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Aaron Bell

Try turning off "friendly" error messages in IE. It will then give you the real reason it doesn't think it can connect.

Regards

Thumbs down

No Luck, still getting the same dialogue:

"Cannot find Server: The page cannot be displayed"

Any other suggestions folks?

Thanks again,

Aaron
