Wireless netwokring using Airport Extreme Router

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone knows of issues connecting an airport router using Linux on a laptop. All the issues I have seen were puting Linux on a Mac, then trying to connect wirelessly to their Airport Extreme router. Just checking before installing Linux on my laptop : )
I am using a Linksys 802.11g wireless pcmcia adapter.

Thanks.

i would guess that it probably has more to do with linux being able to access the PPC wlan card than a problem with the router itself. routers do go out once in a while, but as long as you are able to access your wlan card, it should work without a problem. use ndiswrapper.

At home my roommate connects his Mac Powerbook to an Airport Extreme router. I connect to it regularly using my Dell (running Slack). The only difference that I noted was that it seems to take a few seconds extra to connect to his AP than my old Linksys wireless router.
