I got a Palm Z22 to try it out... can't get it to work with kpilot or gnome-pilot.
Just to be complete, I was able to get the palm to connect with jpilot. The key is to hit "Sync" on the palm, wait a few seconds then "Sync" on jpilot. I have had no problems since.
Thanks for the thread / info on the z22 sync to linux. I'm new to this site (found it by way of google question about this topic) and am excited that I might be able to fix this problem (got my wife the z22 for Christmas and keep getting the question 'when are you going to get my palm to connect with my laptop?').
I'm running RHEL on the laptop and thought (forlorn hope) that connecting the two was going to be a trivial exercise when I purchased the z22 (ha ha - when is anything as easy as wished for?).
I'll let you know how this works out. And thanks again.
i managed to sync Z22 on Slackware (KPilot) and Tungsten T3 on my sister's Fedora Core 4 (JPilot) . yeah it is possible only thing not possible yet is syncing Dana AlphaSmart .. but that is wishing a bit too much
