Unhappy nvidia cannot work without acpi=off !!!


hi,

my official nvidia driver CANNOT work unless i boot up with "acpi=off".

i am using ubuntu breezy, but this problem exists in both ubuntu breezy and suse 10.0.

my laptop is a toshiba m40-545 with nvidia geforce go 6600 (128mb dedicated ram).

can you pls help me? thank you!!!

Did you try 'acpi=noirq' or 'pci=noacpi'
