Hello poeple
1)Yeah , i just installed mandrake 10 on my laptop(compaq presario 2100,2.2 ghz, 512 ddr, 64mb shared ati, and broadcom 802) well these are the problems...then fan is non stop working, I did recompile the kernel and went through the this document about setting up mandrake 10 on compaq presarios which i found it on this website but after i reboot the operating system wouldn't even come up...anyways i stayed up all night and installed everythin all over again...but I still have the same probolem
2) tapping on touchpad dosen't work...I installed the latest synaptics and went through the INSTALL file but after installation the X server couldn't start so i had to roll back all the changes I had made so still no tapping
3) and final problem is my wireless card well Im kinna used to it cuz there was also no driver for it under Fedora core2 which i've been working with for the last 2 months up to ofcourse last night...
realy appreciate it if drop me a comment at least for the 1st part...so I wouldnt burn my cpu or cpu fan...

I've had similar problems with Compaq computers; both a desktop and a laptop. Each would run constantly (the fan.) I was able to solve the laptop issue by upgrading the BIOS and adjusting a few settings, but my desktop constantly spun forever.
