Works well for Dell Studio 15 (Fedora 11)

Thanks prasad.nitc
Your solution of creating the /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf
and adding the line "options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m6" into it helped solved the sound problem in Dell Studio 15 laptop, running Fedora 11.
With linux kernal 2.6.30
I also had to change the Device for output to "Internal Audio" in the Sound Preferences window in Fedore 11 (Gnome)
I am posting the details here, to help if someone else exits with the same problem.
Thanking you,
indiajoe
