Activesync clone for Linux!!!

Please help! I bought the gorgeous iPaq hx4700 from HP and I see a Microsoft Activesync CD in the box no way I will touch that!!

Anyway, is there any equivelant for Linux? I also see some programs for pocketPC that need activesync to install, how bad is that for making pocketPC in independant OS!?

Other than that, its a great pocket PC apart from not running Linux lol but I will have to wait for that!

Unfortunately, you bought the wrong pocket pc! You can take a look at the following project: http://synce.sourceforge.net/synce/index.php

You will not be able to install apps on your pocket, but Synce allows you to browse, delete and add files on your pocket, uninstall apps and sync with Evolution for mail, calendar and contacts.

The installation is a little bit tricky so read carefully the directions on the web site.

Also, I heard about some project to install a Linux OS on Ipaq PocketPC, but I don't know the status of these projects. Google for Linux on IPAQ...

Good luck!
