Hi Experts,
Need some help. Can any one tell is it possible to deploy or bring-up more than 1 Kernal SCTP instances in a single linux machine ?
Basically my requirement is ,I have two applications, where one needs Kernel SCTP running and other application needs that SCTP should not be working and I cant use 2 machines to meet the above setup.
I was thinking that,I create another instance of sctp and point to application which needs it and disable the default kernal SCTP to meet the requirement of 2nd application.
Can any one suggest is it possible to bring up multiple instance of SCTP in a single machine? If so,some tips please.

Thanks inadvance.

Perhaps network namespaces would help, as each namespace is a separate network stack, but I am not sure to what extent they work on that kernel version.
Hi berndbausch,
Thanks for the reply and suggestion.
I would like to give a try with namespace. Can you provide some usage guidance please [ Other than man pages ;-) ].

I think you'd be best served by this blog: http://blog.scottlowe.org/2013/09/04...ork-namespaces, which contains an intro to the concept and a practical howto.
Scott has more blog entries that touch on the subject.
