multiple instance of X


I was just wondering, would it be possible to open more than one instance of the X server on one box?

I don't see how it would work, but could anyone confirm on otherwise?

Absolutely.

You can bind xservers to F7, F8, F9, ect...

see man startx or just type startx -- :1
