How to develop kernel module for framebuffer?

Hi
I want to develop one kernel module which mimics a framebuffer driver. This acts as a framebuffer driver and provides /dev/fb0 for applications. Instead of writing to actual framebuffer memory, this modules dumps data into a file.
Can someone tell me how should I start with and some references?

Thanks
shamju joseph

Never done anything like this before but a quick Google gave me this article which from the first page looks reasonably good. Probably won't tackly your issue specifically but hopefully it'll be a good start

Try taking a look at the virtual framebuffer driver [linuxsrc]/drivers/video/vfb.c
