Hi,

I have a laptop with a Ati Radeon M9 graphic card and I want it to use
my TVout. I use Mandrake 9.1

So I tried different drivers for my graphic card:
- the Ati-driver from their website
- the standard driver that comes with mandrake
- the Gatos driver
- the Gatos modified driver from
http://www.retinalburn.net/linux/tvout.html#patch

None of them work. At least not on my pc.

But what is worse, none of them supply proper documentation on how to
set up your xf86config file. Or how your logfile should look.
Currently my logfile is telling me that X is ignoring my TVout options
that I tried to set like TVout, TVStandard, CloneMode, etc.

So my question is three-fold:
1. where can I find documentation on how to set up xf86config for
these drivers? (the xfree docs only discribe the general options, not
the driver specific ones)
2. how do I know for sure what driver and version x uses? Can I tell
from the logfile?
3. How can I tell from the logfile what is going wrong?
