TV card in SuSE 9.0


hello everybody! im running SuSE 9.0 professional andd im wondering if there is any way i can install my MSI TV@nywhere TV card. there are not specific drivers for it in SuSE, and there are no drivers on the MSI website. is there any chance i can get it working?

Hi.

If the card's based on a brooktree 8x8 or 8x9 chip, then it's supported. You'll just need xawtv to watch TV (That's also probably on ypur system already)

the card is based on a Conexant Video controller.

Hi again.

The driver's here (if it's the right chip):

http://bytesex.org/cx88/

You'll still need xawtv (as mentioned, you've probably already got that), and you might have to create a device in /dev for it.
