Hi i'm from spain, i have a problem with speedtouch 330 on suse 9.1
I follow this howto: linuxforum.com/tutcomments/75/222.php
and I have this problem when i try to connect:
SuSE Meta pppd (smpppd-ifcfg), Version 1.16 on linux.
Status is: disconnected
trying to connect to smpppd
connect to smpppd
Status is: disconnected
Status is: connecting
pppd[0]: Plugin pppoatm.so loaded.
pppd[0]: Plugin passwordfd.so loaded.
pppd[0]: connect(8.32): Resource temporarily unavailable
pppd[0]: Failed to open 8.32: Resource temporarily unavailable
Status is: disconnected
pppd[0] died: Serial port open failed (exit code 7)
Try http://speedtouchconf.sourceforge.net/ it is very easy, you download the necessary files, then run the script and it does everything for you, I used it in Suse 9.1 and the internet works fine.
i've got a problem wit h the speedtouchconf :
- the script runs good
- the driver is OK and installed
- the speedtouchconf try to connect and i've got this error message :
"pppd died : pppd options error (exit code 2)"
