Scrollwheel on Logitech Keyboard

This is a longstanding problem that I'm just beginning to address. I've got a Logitech Elite Cordless keyboard, the one with the scroll-wheel on the left side.

The Up and Down scroll functions are assigned to exactly the same values as the regular up and down buttons. I'd like to figure out a way to change it so that the scroll wheel doesn't do anything at all, because it gets extremely buggy at times and will just start scrolling up whenever it feels like it. Needless to say, this can be extremely annoying.

It's not possible to solve this problem simply because, again, the scroll up and down keys are bound to the exact same values as Up and Down.

Thanks in advance!
