Question SATA DVD Drive not detected

I've tried to install several linux distro's
Debian testing lenny gives me "no cd drive was found"
Lunar Linux gives "Can not install without root"
Ubuntu and Xubuntu (a lot of versions starting from 6.06 up to the new 8.04) won't boot with a lot of errors
Also Debian Lenny teesting shows "PCI mmconfing not used BIOS error MCFG area at f0000000 is not E820-reserved"
I've tried all SATA modes available on my MoBo (SATA, AHCI, RAID) and it didn't help
My Config:
AMD Athlon 4600
Biostar TA 8200+
2x 2Gb RAM (Tested with Memtest86)
SATA HDD 640 GB WD
SATA Liteon DVD Drive
Integrated Video

All distros i tried were 64 bit

XP x64 installs and works just fine

Tried BlueWhite64?

Also, what does your BIOS say is there?
