Sata drive 80 GB not detected

hi guys I have just purchased the Sata HDD of 80GB but it is not detected by Redhat 9.0 asking for drivers so what to do and how to work for that
please

Red Hat 9 does not have support for SATA disks. Go for a newer version like Fedora 6 ....or similar
