rt2500usb driver + F5D7050 Belkin Wireless
Hi,
I'm a newbie to linux so please pardon my ignorance. I decided to switch completely to linux (I had tried it out a few times before in the past, but only long enough to hate it). I have Suse 10. I ran into a few problems with random resets after install, but after removing my sound card, it stopped. I transfered all the data from my NTFS windows drive to my reiserfs linux drives and everything is reiserfs now.
I have a belkin F5D7050 wireless usb card. I heard about ndiswrapper, and installed it via Yast2 on my linux system. Searching on the forums, I found that I needed the rt2500usb driver. I googled, and found w.ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm (can't list website address, add two ww for www) . My question is this:
Do I have to download the windows driver, extract the inf file from it, and use ndiswrapper, or can I just compile the linux driver on the website above ?
If i can use the linux source (2005/10/14) from the website, do i need ndiswrapper ? How do i compile it ? Can anyone help me on this, I would really appreciate it.
