Quadro fx500

Hi, i am currently running ubuntu (latest version) and want to upgarde my video card from GeForce4 fx5200 to something beefier. Somethign that will run 3d stuff smooth with linux without breaking my bank account.

I was thinking the Quadro FX500 128MB.

Is this a decent card to run with my system?

Athlon Xp 2800+
512Mb ddr
7200 rpm hard drive
K7N2 Delta board.

I know its an older card, but i read the reviews and they seem decent and go for aobut $250. the fx5200 cannot even display my screen savers... it just cant handle it..its horribly choppy
