Having re-acuired my long-since borrowd M-Audio Mobile Pre USB (incept date, circa 2003), I find trouble w/ drivers on Win 7. I figure, Linux do pretty much anything, while proprietary drivers may be a different story.
I don't own Cubase, but that's another issue altogether. I've just got to get the USB device to be recognized; have the proper drivers installed.
Your assistance shall be appreciated. If the production turns to be just another CDDA-coaster, i'm much obliged to share, in your honour.
(heh heh... it's a joke, people!) but, i do apprecite any; all help. even redirect to another Forum/ specialty site, should that be your recommendation.
@GlennsPref ,
Thank you very much for your thoughtful reply. I will investigate. Last I recall, I got the device working. Let's call it a fluke in my favour. I don't recall /doing/ anything spectacular to arrive at such a state, other than perhaps some general rebooting on update, or some such.
Cool thing. Mint hadn't been recognizing my on-board card (Realtek HDD Audio, some such Lenovo K-330b B/S, i digress).
After this M-Audio Mobile Pre USB tinkering, i'm pleased I can now listen to music with, or without it... so i recall.
This (secondary) issue had vexed me for quite some time. Had no idea to go about repairing that but, alas, I needn't bother over it anymore.
Funny how some things, albeit typically a rare occurrence, actually do go my way. hehe...
Best regards!
@ajaxStardust
Will try to rem to update this thread should i be enlightened; have anything to add, after reading GlennsPref's suggested media.
