PCI express for a media center

I want to hook up my lcd televison to a custom built computer. What's the best graphics card configuration for this. Should I go PCI Express or AGP. I don't even know if it matters. I wanted to use the computer as a media center and record tv using frevo. I know pci express is supposedly better but I know AGP is supported better. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

You dont really need a high performance graphics card for a media center.
an old second hand AGP-4 will be more than adiquate aslong as it has a TV-OUT.

defiantly dont waste money on PCI-express unless you are planning on playin doom-3 on maximum resolution and quality settings.

my old Pentium2 with an AGP-2 played DVD's just fine
