tap-as-click touchpad ability restarted each reboot.


Hi,

i have OpenSuSe on my Asus eee 1005P, with XFCE but after restart i have to start the gsynaptics application and tik to enable the touchpad tap-as-click ability of my touchpad.

is there a way to set it as set ?

Hi,
do you have gnome or KDE or something else ?
Did you try to go to the system settings and try to change something there ?

as mentioned in my post it is XFCE, and in order to enable the touch ability i need to enable it in the gsynaptics program, the problem is that at any restart i need to do it again since it doesn't remember my selection.
how to do that permanently ?
do you know any other program that can enable my thouchpad ability?

Do you think this can help ?
Or you could try the touch-pad indicator (maybe you can try "zypper install touchpad-indicator" )

I wouldn't do it with gsynaptic at all, I would use a settings-file for the touchpad in /etx/X11/xorg.conf.d/, like described in that thread.
