Question Mouse Problems


I have a 3 buttons mouse thats usb. Heres my problem, everything works except my wheel. and Ive looked around on other posts and edit xorg.conf and still nothing. Can somebody plz help me

someone might help but i guess you must first post more details. ex. your current xorg.conf (at least the InputDevice section), the type of mouse you're using, mouse brand, perhaps modules too (lsmod output) or anything more?

you might as well check this howto from gentoo. just in case you haven't seen this yet.

darn this. there's nothing more i can do this time than refer people to howtos. oh well at least i can help. not a bad idea anyway.

thx for the reply but I still havent fixed it yet......Its a M$ usb mouse. I have logged in as ROOT and edit the file /etc/x11/xorg.conf with GEDIT is there something else I can do or am I doing this wrong?
