Mandrake 10.0 Freezes when excessive use


I have Downloaded and installed Mandrake 10. I am using a Soltek Mainboard with celeron 2.4 processor and 360 MB Ram. I have a Realtek NIC Installed.

When I Do some surfing or Just play around for a while It Freezes, But if i leave it to download or do nothing, it doesn freeze.


Appreciate any help

Freezes for how long?
What graphics card do you have, what driver?
I have had a few problems like this, they were all connected with the video-card & drivers.

Freezes Forever!!

I have a Onboard Pro-Savage 32MB.

Hmm, it might be some piece of software that comes with mandrake, and be hard to track down. try fedora core 2, or SuSE - just pick a different distro, as it will have a slightly different mindset, and might work with your hardware. I had a Pentium II that didn't work with any of the bigname distros except slackware, or old versions, like redhat 7.3
