Looking for creative compatible with alsa

Hi everyone,

I had purchased the Creative Sound Blaster Extigy 2 years ago. I have tried to make it work with a kernel higher than 2.4 so many times but with no result. 2 months ago I desided to buy a new sound card , so I checked the compatibility with alsa and purchased the Creative Sound Blaster Live 24! . After 2 months of trying to make it work I didn't get any results either. Both of the cards I have are supposed to be compatible with alsa due to the alsa site (even generic) but everyone has problems. Now I desided to buy a new one!! Before I do that I want to make it sure that I'll buy something tested and fully compatible with alsa. I have compiled around 20 kernels just to test the results with my previous cards and I really don't want to do that again. If anyone has a new Creative card that works fine with alsa and would like to make a suggestion please post...

Thanks

Thanks for your reply,

I know that this card works (I used to have one of those) but I am looking for something newer than that...

Thanks
