I have an R52 (OK, it's IBM badged but it's the same kit
) and have had Fedora Core 6 / 7 and Ubuntu Feisty running happily on it. I've also have suse 10 and Mandriva 7 running from Live CDs. Do you have specific questions?
If you Google for something like Linux on R60 I'm sure you'll find something. I found a couple of good guides specifically for Thinkpads but didn't bookmark them
