Question How to extend network range?

Hello everybody who read this.

Maybe somebody can tell my how can I best way extend my wired network. I know what notionally whit UTP 5cat wire you can go 100m (metres), practically I used 120m and everything was ok, but I need biger range than 120m. Maybe someone can suggest my what hardware is best and cheapest to extend range.

One way what I know is linuxbox with BRIDGE configuration.

Not sure what you mean by "BRITGE".

You could just put a switch every 100M to boost the signal - or if you have a bit more money to spend then put some fibres in.

See www.cisco.com for all your generic networking questions. 'range' = 100m. Want to know more, see the above link. It gets very complicated, and someone would want to do a site survey prior to answering any of your questions about network architecture solutions.
