window 2003 can't join linux domain

HI all,

i have redhat linux 9. i have cofigured samba with the swat. I rey joining my windows 2003 to my linux domain it tell me user not found. I configured the smbpasswd for the root account. I also hack the registery of the windows 2003 pc under localmachine settings.
Yet still i can't join the domain
