Making a Linux PC join a Windows 2003 domain
Well, im quite new to linux, and installed a Linux Pc in my office.
My office has a working windows 2003 server with a domain which handles like 40 computers, and each of them are linked to the router though ethernet connection.
I am using fedora core 3, and i am having some problems in entering the domain
I go to Networking, and set the ethernet card settings, i put the subnet mask, the router ip adress, and the ip
When I insert the IP and try to activate it i get an error messge which tells me that the chosen IP adress is already in use by the other pcs in the server.
However this is not, because i have accurately checked the server and the free Ips given by the other Pcs, and i have understood that the problem is because the windows domain "TAKES" as his all the ip range inside its router, and does not allow to the linux one to use them
how can i overcome this?? thank you
