Where can I get APT-GET?

Hi all,
Is apt-get on the Mandrake 9.1 cd's? Or can I download it from somewhere?
What exactly does it do?

apt-get is part of debians package management system. prgrams can be updated by typing apt-get and the program.

mandrake does not use debians package system by default, and i don't even know if it can. instead, it uses the rpm packaging system. however, it comes with a program quite like apt-get called urpmi
There is also a gui for it called RPMDrake that is in the Software Management section in the Control Center. Google for urpmi to find out more

urpmi apt should do the trick -- there is a port for mandrak. urpmi is pretty good if you set up enough repositories. Also try yum - urpmi yum.

Also, go to Configuration, Packaging, and then Install Software, and search for apt. (Install Software is RPMDrake, the gui for urpmi).

Search google for "urpmi repositories" or "urpmi.addmedia"
