apt-get is part of debians package management system. prgrams can be updated by typing apt-get and the program.
mandrake does not use debians package system by default, and i don't even know if it can. instead, it uses the rpm packaging system. however, it comes with a program quite like apt-get called urpmi
There is also a gui for it called RPMDrake that is in the Software Management section in the Control Center. Google for urpmi to find out more
I believe if you go to rpmfind.com you will be able to find a apt for mandrake....i have asked this questiona a few times myself and everyone thought it wasn't available. I haven't tried using it yet, but i know it's in there
Distribution: Windows 2000(just for my ipaq), Mandrake, Knoppix(h/d install)
