Ubuntu Background Resolution


- hey guys our ubuntu box backround resolution can only reach 800x600. its motherboard is an ECS which has a buil-in VGA card. is there a way for it to increase its resolution.

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
Give that a shot. It might be that your built-in video card can't support high resolutions. Also check your monitor settings.
