random saved GNOME session


every 3 or 4 boots, when X loads i get an old saved session appear, from abuot 6 weeks ago roughly. i save it each time i quit gnome, and mostly it des save.. but sometimes this old one appears again....!!!

anyone have any idea where it might be comign from?

Have you tried recreating your Gnome info. for the user you are logging in as? I had a similar problem before and had to delete .gnome* from my user home directory and then restart x.

I know this would cause you to lose ALL session information, but it would also get rid of your random old desktop (unless it's not a function of the x session and is a problem with gnome install itself.)
