Problem with partitions

I'm trying to resize my main linux partition using qtparted, but I can't because I'm using it... I have no other OS installed, how will I get round this?

I've never tried it, but you could try using knoppix. Knoppix is a CD bootable linux which comes with qtparted.

Or a program like partition magic which boots from a disk and doesn't go into any OS.

Yea use qtparted from the knoppix cd, works great, used it a bunch of times and no problems. And it's free, Woohoo...
