npa_ping_sm is not a recognized command (ping)

Hi all,

Hopefully this is an easy one. When I run "ping google.com" as almost any user on a server it works fine. But with one user it does not work:

Error:
ping
If 'npa_ping_sm' is not a typo you can run the following command to lookup the package that contains the binary:
command-not-found npa_ping_sm

I have never seen this before and google does not give anything. I thought it may have been something that needed to be added to $PATH but I added /bin/ping and that didn't fix it for that user. Hopefully someone has seen this before and knows what to do?
