I cannot ping with command 'ping IP' address but can ping with 'ping IP -I eth0'

Hi all,
I am using an virtual machine. where I need to ping from one machine to another. earlier I was able to ping. But after going to google.com once, I cannot ping back to this machine.
But if I gave ping -I eth1 <IP> then I can ping.

I cannot install any package, so tell me solution which includes not installing any package.

Regards
Sanket

You have not got a default route added, check your interface configuration and your routing table

yes, most probably a routing issue.
type route in the shell, and see if it has enough information to find a route to that IP.
you're helping the machine find a route by using the -I option in ping, but a correct routing table is what you want for all the other software (firefox, apt-get, etc ...).
