Question NIS update maps

I have a NIS setup (Master/Slave/Client). NIS maps include passwd,group,home directory,project directories etc... If I add an existing user to a new group in the NIS master, the slave and the client gets the update properly but the added user has to logout and login again to get into the new group. What I mean is "groups" command will not list the new group unless they loggin again.

clients running with RedHat Linux 8
NIS(Master & Slave) servers :: Redhat Linux 9
NIS version :: 2.5.1

Is there a way to update the logged in users group without asking them to logout.
