Can Webmin update NIS maps?

We have a customer using Webmin on RHEL 3 systems. When they add or update a user account, the changes are reflected in the system's /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow (etc) files. The problem is that these files are the source files for NIS, and the NIS databases are not updated until root logs into the system and does

# cd /var/yp ; make

Webmin is running on the NIS master.

Is there a way to tell Webmin to update the NIS maps after a change to the source files?

I do not believe that RHEL3 Webmin can admin NIS.
However, I think 4 can.
I'll have to check (why do I always get stuck on the oddball questions? - lol)

Were I you, I would write a script that runs via cron every 2-5 minutes, that diffs a known good passwd, shadow, and group file, and if a diff is found, replace the known good with the new ones, and then run yellow pages make.

diff'ing the files for the comparision every 2 mins or so should transparent from a performance standpoint
