Missing KDE icons in Gnome

As you probably know, at the bottom of the Applications menu in Gnome is the KDE menu.

90%+ of the icons for the programs are not in the menu though.

Is this an association problem? Or do I need to copy the icons from KDE to Gnome? If so, how would that be done?

Thanks. Sean.

Each application in the menu should have a .desktop file. That desktop file should have an "Icon=" entry. That icon should exist in one of the standard places that I know of: /usr/share/pixmaps, /usr/share/icons/*, ~/.themes, ~/.icons. Different themes may load icons from different places from that list.
