KDE headers not found...check your installation


I'am trying to install some KDE apps, but when i run the configure script it gives me the following output

What is the problem. how do i rectify it?

i have installed kdelibs and kdebase devel

You need too install the kdelibs-dev & the kdebase-dev packages

Use the ./configure --prefix= option, do ./configure --help for all the details.

Then you need to double check that all required packages are installed correctly.

I instaled kdelibs and kde-devel but still get the error. even tried giving options to the configure script. but of no use

can any one help me

you should have a config.log file or similar, open it up and see what it's missing, and if you have it somewhere else, or what package it comes from.

Have you done "make distclean" on the source?

i get stuck with the configure step it self.

make distclean gives the following error

make -- nothing to be done ***

some thing like that
