check if python headers are installed

im getting an error when trying to install superkaramba that
karamba.h:12:20: Python.h: No such file or directory

i saw in another forum that someone had this same problem, then he said... Oh, forgot to install the python headers. im runing slackware 9.1 and need to install the python headers for 2.3.1... where can i get them or how can i check to see if they are installed?

Chances are you don't have python installed. You can get it from http://www.python.org/2.3.3/

You need to install the libpython package. I've found a rpm, but I'm still looking for a package that would be useful to you. Sorry.
