installing swat

Hi,
I'm trying to install SWAT.
I think I followed the steps correctly, including
- edited /etc/xinetd.d/swat with disable=no
- verified /etc/services contains "swat 901/tcp"
- /etc/init.d/xinetd restart

When I go to the browser and type url http://localhost:901/ I get the error

- konqueror: Connection to host localhost is broken
- netscape: Network Error: Connection reset by peer
- mozilla: nothing happens

it's gotta be something stupid?! thanks!

jonathan.

yes, i can ping "localhost" and 127.0.0.1
I also discovered that I can connect to SWAT with http://192.,168.0.1:901 (ip of my server), from the server. if I comment out the only_from=127.0.0.1 line in /etc/xinetd.d/swat file, and restart xinetd.

so, i'm in swat, but I'm still confused why I can't connect directly through localhost. Any clue?

thanks,
jonathan.

thanks for your attention.
Meanwhile, I've spent a couple hours playing with swat.
Now I know why redhat does not automatically install it during standard install. It's pretty braindead. and bashes the manual edits I make. Since samba never seems to work the first time and you have to tweak the parameters, I think it's alot cleaner to do it with a text editor.
