How do you change your panel/toolbar...

*when I refer to the panel/toolbar I am talking about the long bar at the bottom of the screen with the start menu and clock. what is the official name?

Anyway, a couple of days ago I saw one and it looked like the ones on a mac. it was basicly small and didn't run from side to side, but in the middle with icons. do any of you know how to change it to something to that effect?

Are you running GNOME? If so, right click on the Panel and select "New Panel > Corner Panel". Then right click on the new Panel and bring up Properties, where you can put it in the bottom center just like the default location of the MacOS Dock.

you mean in KDE? i think you are talkin about karamba or Ksmoothdock
